How were the Total Number of Real Estate Property Transactions in Spain distributed by Autonomous Communities in 2019?
Following an analysis on the Total Number of Real Estate Property Transactions that were carried out in Spain, and how these transactions were distributed between New and Resale properties , this short article will go one step further and breakdown how the Total Number of Real Estate Property Transactions in 2019 were distributed among Spain’s Autonomous Communities, which are: Andalucía, Aragón, Asturias, Illes Balears, Canarias, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla la Mancha, Cataluña, Comunitat Valenciana, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, Navarra, País Vasco, La Rioja, Ceuta and Melilla. The data analyzed is from the Statistical bulletin (Boletín estadístico) of the Spanish government. From this analysis we can see that as a percentage of the Total Number of Real Estate Property Transactions in Spain in 2019 (568.180 transactions), Andalusia is in first position, accounting for 19,2% (108.977), followed by Cataluña accounting for 15,7% (89.043), the Communitat Valenciana representing 14,8% (84.356), and in fourth position Madrid, that accounted for 13,8%(78.375) of the Total Number of Real Estate Transactions carried out in 2019. These four Autonomous communities represents more than 60% of the Total Number of Real Estate Property Transactions carried out in Spain.


New and Resale Property Transactions in Spain
From the Total 568.180 Real Estate Property Transactions that were carried out in 2019 within Spain, 9,9% corresponded to New Property Transactions (56.219), and the remaining 90,1% corresponded to Resale Property Transactions (511.961 transactions).
